Assetto Corsa freezing for a bit then fine

Weird one this.
Recently moved Assetto Corsa over from a SSD to a standard drive. It plays fine but every 20 minutes or so, the graphics and sound freezes for about a minute but the game continues underneath, if you know what I mean, and anything else on the computer is fine. After about a minute it runs fine as if nothing happened. GPU (GTX780) is running fine with temps around 60C (normal) with everything maxed out.
It's only just started since the move, I've tried a couple of different Nvdia drivers as sometimes new ones have caused stutters with AC but it's fine. Could it be a RAM issue?
No issues with other games.
Googled but not found any similar symptoms.
Any ideas?
Eta; I recently updated the mono bios so I need to check the RAM is sit up correctly in that. It might have reset the values for it.
Eta again... Checked RAM speed and it's fine.
Hmmm. Going to try AC and see if it only happens in Multiplayer or if I'm AI racing.
