Buying Guide/advice again..

I think its great to hear of new people interested in buying Chims, but we seem to have an enormous amount of threads all asking exactly the same question.. there are at least two running at the moment that I'm aware of.. and every week a new one seems to spring up

As its quite an exhaustive subject, in an attempt to be helpful I used to write quite a few paragraphs at a time on this one, but to be honest, these days I add a line or two on specific issues, but have basically given up responding to the same points again and again. I'm sure I'm not alone..(??) (I note shpub now normally just posts a link to tvrbooks for example..)

Now this isn't a moan at people for asking, and Im glad to see new people joining "the fold" so-to-speak. But there's got to be a way of amalgamating this knowledge and advice given into one area or something hasn't there...? Also then contributors would probably be more keen/proactive about adding to it too..?

Or shall I just go and ?

It would be nice but I don't think it needs to be quite that exhaustive.. just a sticky thread called "read this if you're buying" would probably cover it

Perhaps it could just contain a list of links to other threads on the subject.. ? If you do an "all dates" search in the Chimaera forum for "Buying Advice" you'll find dozens and dozens of them..
