Its a 2011 Östereich Rapide an an old chestnut - apologies! After consultation with a fellow owner I got an SD card to update the Nav. Went to plug card in under rear passenger seat only to find a slot for an optical disk instead. I see no way to eject the optical disk - or is it actually a HDD unit with a disk slot to initially load software onto the hdd?

There is no info on make/model in the 'about' menu of the unit so what b type of sat nav do I have guys - is it the Volvo MMM+ or MMM or RTI as I now suspect from a google of images?

The Rapide was launched with the Volvo based HDD set-up, yours looks to have that - this changed to Garmin (which uses SD cards) for the 12MY, see the 10th VIN digit to double check your MY - 11 is B,12 is C!

It looks like the TPMS ECU. If you get the tyre pressures displayed on your instrument cluster, then that is what the little grey box is.
