I was interested to see how many GT4s actually got delivered at the beginning of 2016 as that was when most were supposed to be delivered. So, here are the numbers finally: https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=✓&q...

For those of us who cant be bothered clicking the link above, its about 440 registered GT4s in the UK at the end of Q1 2016. That to me seems like a very high number, especially when you consider that the number of GTSs is 460, PDK and manual combined! what are others thoughts when looking at these numbers?

Interesting but not interesting .
Probably nearer 600 by end of year- so what ?
Whatever the number, it will not spoil mine nor the majority of owners from enjoying the car.
If the GTS is rarer , who cares.
End of this topic I hope 😉😉

I think it's interesting given the limited production status of the car that so many were produced. Fair play to Porsche, they seemed to increase production to meet demand to a certain extent.

Almost identical numbers to GTSs too, it shows in context just how many GT4s they made....

Firstly, this information came out a month or so ago. Secondly, why do we always get quotes of "limited numbers". They said from the start that they wouldn't limit this, the only limit would be in production capacity. Even still, at 600 odd cars on UK roads, it still doesn't take away from being one of the best cars available today.

I meant limited production due to capacity of the GT department. They can clearly chuck out a few cars when they want to though, given the GT3 and GT3-RS were being produced over a similar time...

they said 200 cars for UK, they got 415 deposits, so every one should have got a car if 500+ came here , so win win for people holding out in the end.
same with the Spyder, they seem to have filled all deposits and I guess over 300 Spyders also.

I thought some had deposits returned? Can't be many in that situation though.

Anyone know what the final UK numbers were for the 991.1 GT3? - I heard around 300 ish - I didn't think that the GT4 would ever be less than that. Do also remember the GT4 is not made at Zuffenhausen like all Caymans at the moment they are still being built at Osnabruck at the VW plant so I imagine more numbers can be taken out there as Zuffenhausen is pretty much up to full capacity. I do hear that they are expanding the facility and eventually all 'sports cars' will be made at Zuffenhausen again. Love the GT4 really impressive thing.

The purpose of my initial post was not to spoil or try to diminish the ownership of a GT4... I would have loved to have got one in the first place!! It was merely interesting to see how many GT4s were actually delivered when all we heard about was how difficult it was to get hold of one? Was the difficulty just media hype? Because it seems by the numbers that all those who actually wanted one got one!

They did increase allocations but I don't think you would have got one if you were late in placing a deposit. By the time magazine reviews were out, it may have been too late, leaving many disappointed.

Well I certainly never got one and I still have my deposit down with my OPC. Ordered the day after official announcement I think.
