I have come here to ask for forgiveness from the lack of cycling preaching in this parish for the last few months. Truth is, I have been helping my mother through breast cancer and make me realise life is for living and to then tick another thing off lifes list for me.......... So being a forum for speed, I went and got one of these:

And got one of these :

And am currently about here:

Mums getting better , hurrah, but my cycling has suffered. Also working on the car ( 5 weeks to build to this stage !) has trashed my knees. But my wing man mate , had a heart attack aged 45 , 3 years ago and has been unable to get on a bike since. It has been frustrating for him, big time, as that was his only love in life. Well, recently, I have been coaching him out again and it has been very slow ( thanks YellowJack for Strava kudos !!) , but he is making progress. He was given a demo from the local Specialized shop this weekend of a Levo . Which is an electric hardtail. What a machine it is ! Even the wife wants one, as we all had a go on it round the houses. I hope this will give him the buzz of riding again, as he came tanking down a local descent like he was on fire today, grinning from ear to ear. His heart isnt good. He has an ICD strapped to his collarbone. This is bluetoothed to a monitor in his house , which then sends data to the hospital. But , all I can say is life is for living , with whatever curve ball gets thrown your way and hope this gives him the incentive to get a Levo and ride with us mates again. As for me, hope I can get out and ride more in the next few weeks, as Ciclo Montana is booked again for September !!

Niiiice, any more info on the car?

Glad your mum is getting better , Cancer is horrid and certainly focuses the mind and makes you realise what matters in life

Cars a Westfield Mega S2000 kit. I also bought upgraded brakes, a new Mazda LSD, carbon silencer, comfy seats, padded dash and a few other things. Currently on hold, as Westfield are shockingly bad at parts supply. I have been tweaking a few little things, but cannot fit the body and rivet in place until the diff is bolted in, then the fuel tank, then the body.

Picture of the engine in the car

Dash all built but not wired

Plan is to take mum out a spin after its finished and she cant wait !
