earth strap

Hi Folks

Since i have had the car, this earth strap has dangled under the nearside engine bay. Can anyone tell me where it should be connected and what it is for?

Where is the other end connected to?

It is not a stock fit so been added by a previous owner impo!! It's got a hole pushed through the braid so look for a bolt close by, extra earths from the block to the chassis are common

Ha! Mine was exactly the same on the 390 at the weekend. Looked like it fell off from the nearest anti-roll bar mount. I double nutted the bd back on.

For some reason they earth-strapped the wishbones to the chassis, not really sure why...

The dangling earth strap on mine was the AFM earth. It was fastened mid way to the chassis but the loose end had definitely also been mounted to the ARB bracket.

Doesn't seem to be anything specific then, but I guees it won't hurt to fasten it to the nearest bolt.

Yes....why I can't figure it out my old 350 had it too!!!
