Really?

If she's describing him accurately he sounds like the sort of gormless uninteresting moron most people would be happy to get away from.

Yeah many/most of us are obsessed with our cars but it's our hobby, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm in a perfectly happy give-and-take relationship which doesn't exhibit any of the negative traits described in that post (maybe aside from the grumpy bit biggrin ), as I expect most of the powerfully built macho PHers are tongue out . She simply rolls her eyes when I start going on about my car hehe

who even forms a relationship with someone who eats at KFC or wetherspoons ?

had a brief look on mums net: found this gem. I can't even understand it.

"Further to my last posts in the old ones, I've been talking to my dh who deplores a lot about the way boys are brought up. He says anything that looks like empathy is stamped on. I've been playing around with the amateur psychology vocabulary around emotional abuse lately, and it strikes me that the gender stereotypes require routine mild emotional abuse with boys. Just to get the ball rolling."

She does sound a bit of a doormat: "breaks up with me but still expects sex".

Most women would just say "no, don't be silly."

I thought this was a standard expectation, that, should rightly, be obliged??
