After reading you comments chaps I decided to write to a chap called John Rowland, he is the Chief R&D Chemist for Silkolene, he is the nutty professor who designed and built the Silkolene you are using, I thought you might be interested in his comments.
I asked him if he new of the reason for the smoke on start up, here is his reply.

No obvious reason. I suspect that a controlled test against other grades would show just as much ‘black’ smoke.
Presumably these engines have a reputation for high oil consumption? If not, the smoke could be fuel-derived. Assuming it is from burning oil, perhaps the heavy Pro grades resist drain-down from the piston ring grooves when the engine is switched off, thus providing a reservoir of oil which provides excellent start-up lubrication on the one hand, but also escapes into the combustion chambers due to the higher piston clearances when the engine is cold. Perhaps the ring grooves can now hold more oil because the high ester contents of the Pro blends have cleaned them out!
Endquote
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Guy.
