Looks very good for the money, especially with a low mileage engine !

But there MUST be some reason it's this price !

What makes it even worse is that the house in Worcester has finally let, so no mortgage and rent to worry about now!!!

I saw that and when F .... its so near to my add it makes my car look expensive.

Well it does looks expensive, but it does not need much spending it .... ie all ready for summer.

The last two that Fernies had were advertised at £8995 and £9995 if I remember correctly. I'm guessing it must need some work at that price.

Still, no harm in finding out. Might just give them a bell in the morning.

Well if no-one buys it at the advertised price, I might keep it.

I am after a Griff.... also fancy a Marcos, but nervous about the support. These forums backing up the Tivs are great. The ones for the Marcos, not just the one on PH, don't seem to have the same input. I think that will be the swaying factor.

My mate has a Marcos Mantula V8, nice car too but I'd steer clear of an earlier model with a wooden chassis!

His is a late 80's car and I think it has a metal chassis IIRC.

They do have rather a slung together kit car feel about them, I suspect that the later models are much improved though.

Having said that, I suppose the S has a bit of a Kit car feel about it but it is far more "together" than a late 80's Marcos (IMHO).

Tried a Mantula V8 recently and found it to be very nice but went for a V8S in the end (picked up Sunday)

These are my reasons why, but this is only my opinion.

1. My S2 felt quicker and better balanced.

2. Rear vision was terrible.

3. Mantula sounded nice but the V8S sounds superb - reminds me of the Bullit Mustang.

4.Interior seemed a bit kit car.

Of course as I say these are only my opinion's and I do not wish to upset the Marcos boys.I am sure the Mantara / Mantis is another story but way out of my price range. But sit behind that hump in a V8S and prod the loud pedal and feel it rock.

Christian.

Christian,
Are you bringing your V8S along to the next Wilts meet? Fear I may be tempted, but kind of hope to be as house sale not happening in near future. If she wants a new kitchen, I may have to have something in return!

Stuart.

Christian,

Got the pics, thanks. I agree, a fair bit of work needed!
Still have a huge desire for a V8, and I think seeing your new steed may just send me over the edge
Haven't managed to get my father-in-law into a tiv yet, his mate is suggesting he build a locost like him
See you soon,

Stuart.
