Will a 11 speed cassette fit cosmic carbone sl wheels?

I'm looking to upgrade my 2012 supersix 105 (has most parts swapped) to a 2015 supersix Evo with sram red 22. Will my 2012 cosmic carbone sl wheels fit the cassette and bike?

Yes, pretty sure of it.

Although older Mavic wheels are not advertised as 11 speed specific, most are.

Reason being the Shimano Mavic freehub bodies are very long and require a Mavic-specific spacer to be used with 9 and 10 speed Shimano cassettes so there is plenty of room for the 1.8mm longer 11 speed cassette splines.

The only issue could come with the cassette hitting the spokes or hub flange, you'll find out when you fit it.

8/9/10 and 11 speed Cassette width is the same, the 11 speed sprockets are narrower though hence you need an 11 speed specific chain for 11 speed groupsets. 8/9/10 speed sprockets are the same width.

If cassette width is same why must i remove the small spacer before fitting the 11 speed cassette?

Yeh thats my assumption too. |Read somewhere about a 1.8mm difference.

Yes, a 1.85mm spacer.
