I've got a 400 Chimaera with a Peninsula sports exhaust conversion , I am thinking of removing the primary cats from the manifolds , is there any power gains to be had and what sort of difference does it make to the noise ? Thanks.

slight power gain, bit more noise

but you only get flames if you take out the main cat and rechip the cat hee hee

You can also get flames out the back with the cats in - allegedly.

when i de catted the cat i had a Special TVR Power De-catt chip fitted, much more pops and bangs and flame spitting action...

I can confirm Petes car does spit flame with cats but i think they must be a bit cooked by now...

incedently the ecu and air flo meter now make nice garage ornaments as i've got an emerald ecu now... just wait till i get my lap top back..
