Nikon 70-200 vr

Anyone know of any good deals on this lens ?? Im looking at picking one up in the next few weeks.

I got mine from Jessops price-matched to parkcameras.com for £1099 - I've just checked and rather surprisingly the price has gone up by almost a hundred quid since then (September last year).

Jessops also price-match warehouseexpress.com, but they also appear to have increased their prices by £100.

Anyone know what's going on? I thought prices were supposed to fall - never rise...?

Anyway if you can stump the additional cost I'd say definitely buy it from Jessops - reason being my one died within a month and I thanked my lucky stars that I bought it from Jessops 'cos all I had to do was take it back and they did a straight swap; no questions asked.

GREAT lens, by the way.

Jessops price-matched my D70 when i got it but couldnt do any better than £1200 for the lens when i asked about it at xmas.
Might be time to try again.
