Hi Guys,

Just bought a 964 off the site. It's really nice. However the drivers seat electrics appear not to work. No I did not get a Porsche inspection!!!

What can go wrong with the electrics? Howmuch is it to fix. Any sites offering help?

Cheers

SK

Passenger seat in my 993 didn't work when i bought it - replaced the fuse and it's been fine ever since.

Not being patronising, but have you checked the fuse?

Sure was Mr Oak's car.... Now you're going to tell me it's been a right off repair???

Did have a rather amusing incident just now with a Chav in a Nova. I came up behind him revered the engine. He pulled off fast I let him then dabbed the throttle. Was right on his poor little 1 litre bottom. I then let him pull away!

Assuming it's the same as a rhd 993, it's in the front luggage compartment on the opposite side to the fuel filler cap.

I had a similar problem with my 964 last year. The fuse was fine, so I took the seat out and found that one of the wires under the seat had snapped. Joined it back together and now works fine.

Oh! It was certainly rhd and red when I last saw it, but he did mention having some work done to it following his "off" at the Nurburgring Oldtimer race meeting (stupid accident really and a good job the armco was there to stop him - mind you, after 3 barrel rolls the car had pretty much exhausted all inertia).

BTW I thought I had selected my "smilie" with care - here are some more....
