Why would you want to?

De cat pipes aren't exactly expensive (about £100)

cos im finding it difficult to find any for my spd 6 and a chap over the speed 6 forum says he has some that he'd be willing to sell. thought it might be easier than continually mailing and phoning around.

reckon theyll fit?

Joospeed use to sell ones with a collar (ie adjustable), so those should fit a Cerbera S6/4.2/4.5?

From what i've heard the speed 6 runs better with the cats , they help low-mid torque, just thought i'd throw that in.

Nervy, listen to the man. He knows what he is talking about!

I should just settle for a sports exhaust - Jason again will help you out.

then again you are two cylinders short of Cerby realy

OY! Now come on. were all friends here. dont be like that. besides, some of us dont need to overcompensate. (says the man with a prosthetic vein strapped to the side of his car)(saves time and accusations in the long run)

and youre just jealous cos youre not as girly as me. think about it, its quite a gift to be this inadequate. expecatations are SOO much lower...

so listen, is this true? im gaining a really huge amount of mixed mesages here. if you do a search everyone whose done it says 'go for it' (possibly in a mock american accent, cant be sure, theres no emoticon for that), yet a lot of you good folk are saying 'divvant bother like' (insert geordie accent emoticon here). so what to do?

im more than happy with the power, dont really wanna lose any thats for sure. my two main reasons for this change are improving the noise (ie INCREASING the noise) and benefiting from the supposed better throttle response (actually, now i think about it thats really one reason and one p*ss-poor excuse, but you get my point)(even in these trousers).

so what to do for the best? new sports exhaust thingies? if so which ones?

or do i do the thing where i remove the wadding from the centre section as someone else suggested?

your thoughts on this burning issue would be greatly appreciated.

pip-pip,
N.

p.s ill even up the ante and throw in a partly used curly whirly and a box of twiglets (unused, obviously)

I'm liking the cut of your jib sir.

Basically my information is second hand but cars without cats have shown less mid torque on the rolling road probably a more bhp at the top though,
If you make an engine more "peaky" even reducing mid torque can make it feel much faster and in the appropriate conditions will be faster, hence mixed opinions ?

erm, okay. i think i understand that. no, wait, i dont. oh no, wait i have it. oh no, damn, its gone again.

look, im really sorry to be such a dunce, but im gonna have to go over this again (if i dont ask stupid questions ill NEVER end up one of those dads who knows bloody everything, and im WAY behind to date). So, given that i dont care about the RR figures, if i do this, am i more or less likely to end up with a car that feels less responsive? bearing in mind that the car (even with the lemony sp6 engine) has WAAAAYYYY more power than i have talent, so i will almost never drive it at the top end of its potential (ie flat out at a squillion miles an hour). im more of your floor it in second and third kinda of a guy. so, in my sphere of driving, will it spoil it or enhance it?

last time, i promise 2Sheds. But the twiglets and CW are yours, what the hell, youve earned it.

p.s damn you, just read your profile, youve had more cars than me, and loads of them werent rusty! damn damn damn. curse you....
