Hotels in Prague

I'd recommmend the Prague Palace Hotel, just off Wencelas in the New Town. If it's a bit of luxury you're after, this has it. Great food too.
We honeymooned here and the place was faultless.

I'd recommend the Hotel Josef - a smart funky hotel about 5 minutes walk from the main square. I stayed there with my girlfriend just over a year ago, and thought it was great.
I travel to Prague a lot with work, having stayed in most of the big, corporate hotels, I asked my Czech colleagues for a reccomendation.
They came up with the Hotel Sieber and I have stayed there ever since. It's a small hotel, very friendly and with really nice, well presented rooms.

Hotel Praha ... as much like a 1980s Communist hotel as it's possible to get - huge leather chairs, chandeliers the size of cars, marble staircases like the you've never seen ...
Very old school and five star ...
It's where the communists used to hold their big meetings. Great views over the city - looks like a spanish hotel from the 70s ...
A suite - two bathrooms and a living room - cost us £66 a night last year, And it's in the old town.

Mate's g/f is Czech and she can remember when there were tanks outside it guarding the place when the big pow-wows were happening !
You could of course opt for the Presidential suite ...
