As the title suggests, is anyone running a C215 CL600 biturbo? I have been to see a couple and suspect I will shortly take the plunge. Just want to check i'm not letting myself in for a circus of horrors...

Yes, I bought one in Feb. What do you want to know?

Has it been reliable? I have had a cluster of Bentleys in the past so i'm not expecting it to be free to run but I cannot stand a car that spends more of its life in the garage than on my driveway. Have you had to replace coil packs or had problems with the suspension?

Mine's low miles (55,000 or so) and no big problems so far. It's a complicated car, so there are issues, but nothing that couldn't befall any car (slight judder under braking, needs tracking sorting out and oil level sensor).

ABC working just fine: I don't drive the car often, and that's not ideal, but the suspension sometimes drops and on start-up I'll get a warning that the ABC isn't working properly but as soon as I put the car in D the suspension sorts itself out and all is fine!

I've been running one as my daily drive for the past three or four years and ave covered about 50k miles in that time.

They really are superb cars, the engine is a wonderful thing and you always get out at the end of the drive feeling better then when you started.

On the practical stuff I have averaged 22 - 24mpg over my ownership which is mainly long distance drives at making (safe) progress speeds.

Other than tyres I have also had to replace the ABC Pump at about 55k miles plus I have also replaced the front suspension ball joints at a similar age.

My hot tip would be to cover the car on the Mercedes main dealer 'Service Care Plan' under which you pay for two or three services in advance at a fixed cost and then whatever service items need attention when the service interval arrives are covered. From memory the individual services work about at about £500 to £600 each. On my last service Mercedes Sheffield JCT 600 replaced all 24 spark plugs for example which was included in the flat fee.
