Do you think these will hold up for a few track days?

They look quite pitted and well worn. They may well be good for a few track days but they'll eat pads more quickly.

Based on the image and the Porsche AG workshop instruction these look absolutely fine. Second image there is slightly more evidence of carbon burn.

You'd be surprised how worn a PCCB rotor can be before it's classed as EOL.

You cannot tell by looking at PCCB's. The only accurate method is to weigh them.

The ones above look like my old 996 GT2 rotors where the surface has started to delaminate resulting in a roughness / pitting of the surface and hence relatively high pad wear and so brake dust. Are you getting brake dust?

They look ok to me. Perhaps 50-60% worn.

Yes you can tell just by looking at them, that's the way Porsche technicians estimate their wear - by comparing them to a set of pictures of PCCBS with increasing wear. I've seen it, and discussed it with them.

PCCBS do have round wear indicators and minimum weight and thickness levels, but they aren't good guides either. Discs can have very visible wear indicators and go on working for tens of thousands of miles including track days (I know, I've had PCCBS on my last 2 GT3s for 8 years, and have seen lots of others too)

To me the rotors look pitted - they should be smooth. They are prone to getting rough and pitted when overheating - usually from track use.

Are these gen 1 rotors?

edit...Of course I might just need glasses - my eyes aren't what they used to be biggrin
