As I don't do Facebook thought it might be a good idea to write daily on my thoughts as I go through this.

Weigh In 112.7Kgs. I don't have a target amount to lose. Just want to see how it goes.

Day 1! Bloody eggs!

I managed 1 and a bit for breakfast - scrambled - and having a filling free omelette for dinner. Could not face more eggs for lunch so just had a pint of water. Black coffee is ok though.

The rest of the family are about to tuck into Hawaiian Chicken!! It smells superb!

Diet? Royal Marines?

They eat like fking horses, most of it carbs. Try prepping for a few hours in the bottom field or a 30miler on the back of a single boiled egg and a salad.

Generally not too bad - varied and reasonably healthy meals....my problem is always having larger than average portions, with seconds if it was available, lots of pasta and rice, Sunday roasts with a lot if potatoes.
A pasty a week, almost without fail. My real issue though is cheese and biscuits late evening, and fingers in the biscuit barrel!
I eat too much and as my job is 95% at the desk, I don't do enough exercise.
So the plan is get through this week, then smaller portions and reduce the cheese!!

No real target as I do no really know how effective it will be. Ultimately I want it as a kind of detox - and to kick start the smaller portions and less snacking.

That's not how a marine commando eats, imagine school dinners, but with huge portions, budget is like 2 quid a meal.

Half way through the day - grapefruit for breakfast was ok - fruit salad for lunch was lovely (one of my favourites so very welcome). Feeling hungry though - I feel I need bread or pasta similar!
Back coffee is getting dull - might have to have a pod coffee rather than instant tonight and risk not sleeping. Everywhere I look is a bloody food advert!

Steak, tomatoes and celery tonight. Can't wait.

Flavoured water, any diet drink should also be fine, fruit tea, tap water with ice and a slice lots of drink options

Is the point of this diet that you starve yourself to the point of wanting to eat your own underwear?

I'm sure you know these crash diets very rarely work in the medium to long term, but good luck anyway.

This isn't a Royal Marine diet, they consume thousands of calories when they're training, that and there's no wking mentioned.

Yesterday was not too bad considering. After the fruit salad for lunch, I was ok and did not miss no snacking throughout the afternoon. I probably did overdo the fruit salad - I think I would have been ok with 25% less.

Dinner was steak (cooked with the fat on, then trimmed), tomatoes (from the garden), celery (from the garden too) and some fat free cottage cheese, and felt quite full. Until, that is, about 9PM when I had a massive craving for cheese and biscuits. Resisted. Drank only water throughout the evening, and had a herbal night tea infusion thing mrs had in the cupboard.

Did not sleep well over night - probably due to the copious amount of coffee throughout the day. To combat that, drinking green tea and water today.

Grapefruit for breakfast, and I feel ok currently. Tuna salad for lunch later (dry - no dressings other than a little vinegar from the pickled onions). Most of the salad is out of our garden, so hopefully will be somewhat tasty!
