Sky intermittent audio problem?

Recently had Sky installed, standard HD box via HDMI to my old but trusty 32 inch Toshiba. Getting very intermittent audio loss, ranging from millisecond cutouts to complete loss.

I have changed the audio settings to normal from DD, swapped HDMI cables, swapped HDMI ports, reset the box etc and it's still occurring. Before I call out an engineer I was wondering if anybody had experienced anything like this? It is driving me nuts.
