Does anyone know whether points on license are valid from the date of offense or conviction with regard to 3 years when they no longer count

It depends.

If you are asking about a potential penalty points disqualification then offence dates are relevant. Work backwards three years from the most recent offence.

You are anxious now.I felt

the same when I passed the van my speed was 38mph in a 40.

They measured my speed a halve mile away down the hill.I wouldn't worry to much it might have been somebody having a break in the van.

The date of offence I believe when the points count.Three years.
