Family Campervan Rental

I am considering a VW California / Camper for the family. When not in use I hope to rent it out to contribute to its keep. Well aware this is a competitive market but assume a modern van, presented in the right style, with good levels of service will attract some attention. I'm in the initial throws of investigating this concept and wondered if I could use your collective knowledge to help.
:- Is anyone in the business of renting campervans, how is current demand and how substantial is the seasonal swing? - I'm in Cheshire; 45mins from N.Wales and the Pennines. 1hr 30mins from the Lake District
:- Does anyone do this with their own camper I.E. rent out a family camper rather than a primary business
:- Insurance is clearly an important topic, having little experience outside of domestic car insurance what needs to be covered if third parties are using the van?
:- As a prospective customer what would you look for from a website; hire cost, inclusive insurance cover, availability, included equipment, potential trip recommendations ..... anything else?
