I didn't want to hijack this thread so I've started my own. A comment made by the OP struck a chord with me ...

Jaw tightness!

I've been pretty anxious for most of my life (pushing 42 now) and the bit about jaw tightness really resonated with me. I seem to have a tight jaw, a throat which feels like it's in a vice, though not like my breathing is restricted, just like I find it difficult getting words out, like it's a huge strain trying to speak. It's worse on an afternoon and is exacerbated by speaking with certain people at work.

Can anyone relate?
