Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask if anyone has this car seat: http://www.prams.net/maclaren-techno-xlr-buggy-sof...

My husband is obsessed with mclaren and things are bit tight for us right now, and I thought this could be the closest thing he has to one, as well as get a good pram for our little one at the same time? It is a bit of an investment, and just wanted to know from all the mclaren lovers if:
1) Would you want one?
2) Would it make you feel better about having one or not?
3) Is this a nice present, you would want from your partner?

I would really appreciate all the help. And ladies if you have done this aswell, i'd love to hear how your huband/partner reacted. Many thanks all!

If things are tight I wouldn't buy a £500 pram, certainly not as an investment.

He might be McLaren mad but I doubt he really cares what brand the pram is.

Maclaren is not McLaren - buy the buggy you want for your baby and then something nice and appropriate for your man

If my wife bought a pram for ME as a present, I'm not sure how I would take that.

I'd get him something more appropriate as a gift. Discuss with him which pram you both think would suit your needs best going forward. Best of luck

Make sure its a limited edition of 500 units, it will be a money maker when you come to sell it.

Until they announce the 500 units of the Cab version

No PH Mclaren thread is complete without a comparison to the benchmark car (Buggy) a Ferrari. I would consider this one as Ferrari have better resale value's and don't come out with a new model every 3 months wink

If you are getting one then I'd make sure you can get a touch up pen in the same colour as its notoriously difficult to get touch up pens from the manufacturer. This is just in case you get any scratches and also so you can colour out the first 'a' in maclaren. Hope that helps.

Make sure it goes straight to be detailed before you even set one eyeball on it, because the horrible disgusting quality of the paint finish will totally ruin the experience for you.

Or they put a mudgaurd on the bottom and call it a longpram, which is basically the same pram as before but costs twice as much. Again limited to only 500/1000
