This looks like a Keith Watson car. I have owned one of the GTR LS7 cars he has built and would say that it was of a very high standard. To answer your question I would say it looks very good value at that price. I would suggest you contact him for more photos and information before viewing the car with someone who knows Ultima's well.

That is craftys car - looked at it a few years back when it was being sold as a part built car but in reality it was part dismantled having had the engine & supercharger removed - you can see this car on youtube running in 2007 https://youtu.be/COZYdldOPgs

I'm assuming it wasnt previously registered overseas but run on trade plates but thats just an assumption - I cant comment on the parts and proofs of newness that are required to get a 65 plate issued by the DVLA but they would be interesting to see. We all know that a 65 plate LS7 powered car should be well over £60k so I think buyers need to make up their own minds - it is cheap and maybe the uncertain history is reflected in the price. I did contact the owner some time ago when it was first advertised on ebay and made him aware of what I knew about the car - he said he was not aware and that he had bought the car off Kyle (I forget his surname). When I viewed it I walked away because it was being sold as a part built car, it had corrosion and had obviously had the engine removed and sold, it was part dismantled. That coupled with not wanting a Q registered car meant I walked away.

Probably someone who builds these on a regular basis, wouldn't be too hard to produce lots of nice new bills from a newer build and pass them off on this car.

ETS seems a reasonable price for a car with the right bits on. IMO age really isn't an issue for the most part with these cars.

Is this a paperwork exercise or do they get inspected before plates are issued?

Is this cheap? No it's the best part of 50k correct me if I am wrong but that's still a lot of money. As for the car, not sure why, but it does not look finished fully, it has the right parts etc but the exhaust looks so bad from the rear (lost in the grill openings. A lot depends on a buyers needs, do they want a car to get in and drive, or one to build from scratch. People always say to me bet you cant wait until your build is finished? Actually I can and it will be a day of mixed emotion as the build process for me, will I think be better than owning and driving.

if it is craftys car, yes he ran on trade plates as teh tax in Hong Kong was excessive
its not a new car and im sure Crafty will be along soon to ask for the chassis number
nees reporting to DVLA as a new car is new parts and that chassis and body is secondhand
Kyle Rush bought it and sold the engine seperately im let to believe

If you have taxed, made a SORN or had an MOT it can take up to 5 days for these details to be shown above.

You can check with your bank/building society to confirm your payment was successful.

Vehicle details
Vehicle make ULTIMA GTR Date of first registration 01 September 2015 Year of manufacture 2014 Cylinder capacity (cc) 7000cc CO₂Emissions Not available Fuel type PETROL Export marker No Vehicle status Taxed and due Vehicle colour BLACK Vehicle

anyone got a chassis number? maybe the factory will help.. im sure if this is craftys car, they need to get involved with DVLA to redate the car to 2007 as used chassis would put it on a Q reg and new buyer will be very angry after this has sold for 48k

Well said Dom - I was being diplomatic and seeing your comments it was Kyle Rushall who was selling the car when I viewed it.

Trouble is the chassis WAS first registered in 2015,or are you saying people at the end of a ten year build can't get a current reg IYSWIM.

Does Kyle ever do anything that doesn't have a whiff of dodginess about it?
