V8V Steering wheel question
Discussion
I've just had a Parrot fitted, along with a Dension unit for the iPhone interface.
The steering wheel does not have any buttons, so if I fit one with the stereo and cruise control buttons, is it a straightforward programming of the ECU to enable these both to work?
The main intention would be for stereo control, CC would be a bonus.

Hello Ed,
The buttons can be added on to your steering wheel on both sides, or you could buy a replacement one with both buttons on. The cruise can be activated with a trip to a main dealer. The bluetooth buttons can be made to operate the Parrot kit, with an interface box. They will only do the Parrot kit though.
On 2007.5 cars it was made to operate the volume for the stereo and then in 2008 when there was a more dramatic change to the infotainment system the buttons would then operate much more, select modes, track up/down, volume etc. Originally the buttons were connected straight to the Bluetooth module. Then in 2008 the buttons were connected to the ICM (infotainment Control Module), this then allowed the buttons to talk to all the components on the audio system.

Is there an approximate cost for the parrot interface box?
