DB9 Aircon vents glue?

Hi,

My air vents just near the windscreen have come loose, reading on the web owners glue them down, I've had a try and used instant grab adhesive with no success, so what's the best glue to use??

I'm keeping away from super glue as it leaves a white residue.

A few years later they are still stuck down solid. Remove the metal clips from the vents first so they fit flush.
