I just love looking through old adverts.

This one reads.....

1960 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lightweight. Almost been sold. £3950.

Amazing isnt it. But look at the advert on the right. Aston DB2 Vantage for £595 or, for just £20 less a Rover P4. Its amazing how little the Aston was valued at. Just another car in their list.

And no less than 5 facel Vegas all with I suppose a relitively high price of around 2.5k.

But, to put this in context, my parents bought a new three bedroom semi detached house for less than £2500 the year before, so you needed pretty serious money for the Facels or the Ferrari.

If you had the money though, the 250 would have been a great investment even without the benefit of a time machine!
