Fred, it means the car can't locate the tracker fob.

Thanks

Thats ironic really because the tracker people couldn't locate the chassis number!

It can also be caused by a flat battery of course, one of mine died after the car was only 6 months old !!

Mine has to go back in for a new unit to be fitted under warranty - I get this signal often when I have the fob in the car. Not uncommon I hear

Thanks Lindsay, I had mine detailed and protected with Gtechniq last week. I suspect the detailer removed everything from the car and moved it whilst doing so.

I doubt whether the detailer would move it as it is normally not in a detailing area!

I had it on my last 991, I changed the battery in my tracker fob and it cured it for a bout 3 weeks, then I just lived with it until I sold the car, a common fault I was told.

To be honest I'm sure the detailer removed everything. Its not happened again since I picked it up.

It was a Gtechniq treatment and it had the fabric guard applied so it was probably done for that.
