400 se spark plug gaps

Just going to change the plugs and wanted to check the gap setting please ??

I use 35 thou for 350 and 390 but both are flapper engines. I suspect yours will be the same?

BP6ES's for me. I did try B7ECS on the 390 but definitely runs sweeter from start up with the 6's.

I use the iridium BPR6EIX...I found the BPR7ES a tad too cold and were fouling up a lot, The BPR5ES were too hot and caused some pinking...The 6 are expensive but are consistent and always burn efficiently, My HC at the MOT went down considerably after changing to them....

Not everyone has Imperial feeler gauges, just thought I'd put in the conversion.

Thats good to know. I was toying with the resistive ones or not, but i figure any RF suppression is better than no RF suppression !

Now .... im just a little scared to change the plugs just incase one of the "specialists" ive used in the past has stripped the threads !!!
