Loose O2 sensor - 996 GT3
Discussion
folks
996.2 GT3 on an 03 plate and noticed a 'blow' in the exhaust.
turned out to be a loose o2 senor and its the pre CAT one.
is this common? is it normally the thread on the sensor or on the exhaust?
am thinking get 2 new pre CAT sensors when the bumper is off just to make sure its all sorted.
thanks, Nick

Id have thought the seams on the side mufflers would have been the issue as they fail about now as mine were going that way. My pre and post cat sensors were seized solid so you have a rare oppertunity for an easy fix.996.2 GT3 on an 03 plate and noticed a 'blow' in the exhaust.

A 996 GT3 probably has the manifold studs seized and corroded too as all 996 do but there are more bolts in the GT3 and Turbo.
