Can't "open in new window"

Just rebuild a PC, and seem to have acquired a somewhat annoying feature...

If I right click, and select "open in new window" nothing happens...

Any ideas..? Seems that one of these pop-up blockers or something is stopping it from opening..

Running XP SP2 and McAfee Internet Security 6...

Don't know anything about McAfee, but have you tried going into Internet Explorer options and clicking on "Restore Defaults" to see if that cures it? There may be some settings in there that where fiddled with... (just a stab in the dark, here)

Podie do a seach on this forum i had a similar problem about 6 months ago and someone posted the answer on here, i will have a look for it myself also and see if i can route it out

It's a brand new build, so slightly puzzled.

Try Shift-LeftClick

and Ctrl-N

Ctrl+N works (this is what I've been doing to get round it)... forgot to try Shift+LeftClick - so will try tonight and get back to you...

May have been, but the system is clean - seems more likely to be some sort of pop-up blocker to me...
