Clutch Slave again!

Hi All,
Replaced the seals as per my previous thread and they went again within 4 weeks!
Absolute waste of time and money. Took my bell housing etc to Bespoke and they checked out my work - all good but they stated the seals were terrible quality. It seems we cannot get seals of good enough standard to make the system work and the only alternative was to fit a Raceproved version.
Onto gearbox fitting woes again! 6 hours on Sunday left me nowhere. A neighbour, ex Ferrari mechanic was dumbfounded also. Lined up, pushed, pulled, you name it. It would not go in.
Next morning it went in first go. The technique for me was to rise the sump slightly, then guide the gearbox input shaft in and then TWIST the g/ box so that it goes lower at the back as it falls between the exhaust manifolds. Up until this movement the gear box was too high at the back.
No matter how much I raised/ lowered the sump or the g/ box it would not go in. This last movement is key.
I hope this helps someone else as it certainly worked for me.

I hope you replaced the clutch pilot bearing, I didn't and this was the result.

The pilot bearing (or Spigot Bearing as TVR call it) had grenaded such that this is all that was left.

I was very fortunate though, as a good friend lent me his Integra for DN15

You simply need to remove the clutch pack to expose the flywheel and there it is.You can see a little better in this pic, but the three prong puller did not succeed in removing the remnants of the bearing.
Instead I had to use this cheap eBay 'Blind Hole Bearing Puller'
