All,

I have just plumped for the above spec car for my latest company car. I chose it over the base spec C-class as I preferred the looks and my boss has an all singing all dancing C-class hybrid I would always compare it with.

The 99 co2 was a bonus and its technically a downgrade so would have a few pennies in my pocket for a fun car when the appropriate time comes along.

Anyway, I digress.

If you have the above car, please can you tell me about your ownership experience,

Whats the drive like?
Do you have a family - is it suitable?
Whats the phone pairing like? as good as the adverts?
What is the real world MPG you are finding?
Did you go with sports suspension - whats it like?

Any anything else that you feel I should know.

I know its not a top spec car, but I would like to think I will like it more than my Insignia!

I have the 2 litre TDCI S-line so not absolutely the same, but yes, very suitable as a family car and the phone pairing and CarPlay both work well. Leagues ahead of my Mk.7 Golf R in that respect. I tested a car on sport suspension, but read comments in the press saying have the standard springs, so I de-selected sports suspension and I'm happy that I did. This isn't a sporting car, and wheel's feedback is limited - I much prefer to drive it as a family wagon and just waft along. It's very very quiet in a cruise - on a run I get 52mpg.

Overall very happy with it indeed.

Great feedback, thanks for taking the time.

Can I ask, do you have the 190 or 150 version of the 2.0?

Sorry, should have said - it's the 190. No firecracker, but it pulls pretty well and as I said the whole feel of the car is smooth and quiet. Indeed I can't think of a more refined car that I've spent any time in, and that includes the previous gen S-Class. Decent car, but as I say, if you can avoid the sports suspension, do (IMHO).
