To be fair it must have taken the fire brigade ages to link the hoses up to get to it.

You'd think the installed fire suppression could deal with most things, must have been a fairly big fuel leak.

There are many reasons for a fire apart from fuel.

If the hydraulic or gearbox oil is getting hot enough to flash you have bigger problems(to begin with) than being on fire.

Not sure how true it is, but I heard somewhere that only last weekend a load of volunteers had just completed a litter pick on that particular summit. At least then it can't be blamed on FOD!
