Structural Engineer Needed
Discussion
Any structural engineers on here that can do a quick turn around quote (and answer) for a reasonably simple beam floor calculation for me please?

In deference to Chartered Structural Engineers, they normally work for fees and go on holiday in August.
However if you refer to the two data sheets above, you should be able to work out what you need. If you can't, then yellow pages is your friend.

So I am happy to pay as stated in my OP. Having spoken with a neighbour (who is into civils but not a structural engineer) I've decided to go the 'easy' route and just stick another dwarf wall in so as to reduce the span and hence substantially increase the loading the beams can take. I can also order a few more beams for less than the cost of a structural engineer so it's a win-win.Forgot to say - thanks for the Millbank link - I'd already found their beam calculator but it's not much use unless I know the floor loadings. The link you have provided gives me more info in general, so very useful. Thanks also for the Supreme link - I'll give that a good read later today.
