I quite fancy a VW T4, probably a project, is there enough space for a loo cubicle if I get a LWB?

I've never seen a VW T whatever conversion with a loo in it other than just having a cubby to stash a portaloo. But I'm waiting to be corrected.

Otherwise you'll need one of these biggrin

Yes there is! Auto sleeper Topaz had one in the rear with shower over loo at the rear, front seats swivel to create a double bed, with kitchen on both sides behind forward facing seats level with back edge of sliding door...

A LWB will probably have room to stash a porta potti somewhere but not a cubicle unless you have a high roof.

I have a VW T4 California Exclusive which was made by Westfalia for the European market which has a thetford cassette toilet, sink etc in the back. They are more like a factory conversion

When I had a T4, I had the smallest loo I could find. It could live out of the way when travelling. When parked up etc, It'd slide out of the way in the passenger footwell.

should it be required- i.e for the gf at the time- use it in the van area, whilst you stand outside or whatever. No point over complicating it.

I've been thinking about this a bit more.

I'm 45 and for my 50th we're taking our Piglet to Rome, he'll be 5 by then and so we think he'll make the most of it. We also want to go to Ireland and the Outer Hebrides.

My thoughts on a camper are the smallest van that will have a loo and a double bed, maybe a bunk for piglet or mabes he'll sleep in the awning. We will have a fridge in the van, but cooking, washing up will be done outside on a camping table and chairs.

A LWB hi top T4 looks ideal, although by 5 years time pretty ancient, so mabes a T5.

Look up the Chausson range with electric drop down beds, they have some pretty small vans as do tue Hymer range
