Just got back from an afternoon out driving when half way through my route my Boxster 981 showed on the dash that a seat belt was not fastened & air bag fault was displaying. This was followed a few miles later by a warning message stating start/stop mode deactivated. Before I go to my opc has anyone else come across these problems before ? Also I very slight smell of electrical burning from glove box area. I stopped the car & switched everything off but on start up even before I fire the engine up it all comes back.

rather worrying. I'd be straight to the OPC with that!

The Stop/Start deactivation is a standard response by the car, to a raft of other faults that the car throws up - it is in the interests of safety, apparently?

No info on the airbag/seatbelt issue, but my car does keep throwing out the PSM fault, which requires at least one switch off/on to eliminate. It will have to wait a couple of months until it goes in for the warranty extension checks, although I have reported it to the OPC - bit of a pain, but hey-Ho.
