I was at a show the other day and one of the guys that works on our kinda cars was listening to my plight of running issues. He offered me a Rover ECU code reader to use. Said it was for the 14CU (might have the letters wrong but the one for the 350i) but since it came from the early LR Classic that it might work on the 4CU. It stopped by his shop and picked up the module. He said there should be a female plug on the harness near the ECU if there is plug it in and I'd be good to go. Have any of you guys see one of these and have you seen the plug anywhere?

Also, Happy Birthday ZIG!

Hi mate.

If its for the 14CUX then its no good for the 4CU...The 14CUX was mainly for the hotwire cars not the flappers....

Thanks also for the BD wishes...smile

I did discover that the TWOA (Triumph Wedge Owners Assoc) over here in the states has a program which they will lend you a ECU while they take yours and solder all the joints. With a high level of success they say. You just pay shipping in both directions.

Hi mate...Not sure what that is exactly but could be something similar to the red "Pektron" steering module that i have in my 1987 350i..It cuts the fuel pump in the event of an accident.

Thanks for the info on the Petron switch. I have a problem where my wipers won't stop, they only go to int when shut off. All others speeds work fine.
That article confirms that the park switch on the motor looks to be the culprit.
Do you happen to know if the Petron switch is still available?

Without looking, it's possible Rimmer Brothers might have the wiper module, but as there are only about a dozen components in it, it should be easy enough to repair wink
The park switch is simple enough, probably just needs the contacts cleaning up... the grief is in getting the wiper motor out in the first place!
