See the attached, currently negotiating to add this Sprite to my collection ... But the boot / fuel filler is incorrect in comparison to the usual.
Does anyone know why or what it could be? Option ... Etc.
Thanks.
It's 60 years old. ANYTHING could have happened or been done in that time.Does anyone know why or what it could be? Option ... Etc.
Thanks.

I am aware of that, obviously, my question is to those with more knowledge of the marque and model as to whether this is potentially an authentic or genuine option or replacement as per the above post (flush filler for racing).
And not, as I assume, a replica or non-pattern part.

Brilliant, thanks a lot Gents, especially S10 GTA who posted into a specific Frogeye thread for me!!
I have another one to see, has a 1275 Engine in there, probably a 7/10 but worth a look at circa £10k, had a recent (ish) resto, disc brakes and gearbox from a midget though; along with the engine change how detrimental to value is this?
It's quite difficult to buy one ready to use here in Germany with the language barrier ...

This looks OK ...
Missing cold air induction pipe
Potential moisture in the drivers footwell / might be shadow
Slight pitting on rear chrome
Missing front chrome 'bumper'
Boot opening handle looks a different shade of green

Has a metal bonnet, which is a huge tick.
How can you tell that ?! I was going to ask him ...
Love the red Vs green ... RHD ... VERY limited history, but I love it ...
So based on the photos it looks OK to take a greater interest? It's a 1,400 KM round trip, so would like some opinions before committing ...
Although, Nurburing Sunday so I may stay over and pop in Monday morning!
Thanks again Gents.
