plenum removal

Hi folks
Could someone please tell me ,do l remove plenum chamber with the throttle cable still attached,then release the cable after ,thanks for all replies

It doesn't matter, you can remove the cable before or after. The bigger issue is getting the stepper motor body past the scuttle grill. If you drill out the two rivets at the ends of the grill you will then be able to ease the grill up without twisting it

Yes.
Disconnecting the cable with the plenum in place is just about possible but not worth the effort.
Getting the plenum off can be fun as it is trapped under the grill under the wipers.
You can either bend the grill up a little but be careful as they are brittle at this age.
Or you can sometimes turn the plenum sideways and ease it out.

I don't know why you are removing but if you just want the plenum out of the way for another job you can leave the cable connected and just lay the plenum down behind the rad or on top of it.
