Does anyone know what is going on at J1 of the M3 right now? I got some pics for the curious.

Who is he? Who is Tara and Dad? What happened to them?

Does the 50 limit apply to the right hand lane? I think we should know...

Good for him and good for F4J too!

I wish him all the best and all the other fathers who are being prevented from seeing their children.

I am biased as I'm one of them!

Haven't seen my son for over a year now and I wasn't the reason for splitting with his mother, she just wanted a meal ticket and obviously doesn't think much of him, otherwise she'd let me see him.

And to rub salt into sore wounds, I pay 15% of my gross salary a year to his b*tch of a mother for the priviledge!

And there's nothing I can do about it, not legally anyway. I could snatch him and go abroad oneday but that's about it!

Although I'm sure we can all guess who would get more harshly treated by the courts, not to mention character assassinated in the local rag

just worked for me, maybe Yahoo's upload limit was reached.

While taking the pics, I noticed that many cars were tooting in support, not surprising really. Looks like the bloke has gone now.

Out of interest, can anyone tell me why the thread was moved from GG to P&P?

Incidentally, I've been battling for 12 months with the CSA because my salary dropped when I got a permanent position and they put my payments up by 30% and told me I have arrears. I eventually learnt that their decision was based on a load of bull from the ex claiming my salary had gone up, CSA now deny this and say that my payments haven't gone up by a nominal percentage so they won't change it back to what it was (or less). I argued that it should not have gone up in the first place and have written to them numerous times and they have been ignored, I guess it's easier to ignore me. They threatened me with court action for arrears and I have defended it so far.

I eventually got to speak with a guy who gave me a 2 week deadline to re-appeal and that was 3 months ago!
That really pissed me off, they slap a 2 week deadline on me and then take 3 months (so far) after already having ignored me for a year FFS

They are apparently still considering my case.

Edited for typos!

Christ, this stuff is frightening.

I'm so never having children. Not until the CSA is dealt with, anyway.

The incompetence is staggering. Whitehall and Parliament's complacency is disgraceful.

I've met a normal woman (not a phsycho) since (a lady I worked with) and we got married just over a year ago and I couldn't be happier. I hope we have our own family as there is some doubt as to whether my ex had my son or somebody elses. And yes I still have to pay as I didn't dispute paternity from the outset, if you dispute it later they ask the mother who the father is and skip the DNA test bit. She's implied verbally that he's not mine in the past.

So what's she going to say to the CSA "Oh, yes I've been conning you all for 4 years and he's not the father at all, it could have been anyone"

No, because she'll end up in court with me fighting to retrieve my money and compensation for the anguish of letting me think he's mine and then not allowing me to see him after having got to know him for 3 years.

The real icing on the cake is that if I die before he's 18 the ex gets a share of my estate for a dependent, to squander as she feels fit like she does with the money I pay her every week. My lad wears hand me down clothes from his 2 older brothers (they have a different father) and I know she doesn't spend anything much on him, he'd be far better off living with me if he's my real son. He'd have a nice home and be properly cared for but the law is such an ass that it wouldn't recognise this, custody is ALWAYS given to the mother.

F4J have my full understanding and support!

KentishS2 - That is so awful for you. I know there are many men in the same position as yourself, it is truly disgusting and something needs to be done about it.

My sympathies Kentish. Red mist typo?

I recently saw something about this on TV, I only watched it for 5 minutes but it was enough to make me . They allegedly take more money from those who actually do pay, to make up for those who don’t (writing of their debts), simply because it’s easier. How fair!

Does the taxpayer pay for the running costs of the CSA, or do they take a cut of the money taken?

Does anyone know a good hosting site?

Jesus Kentish - that is truly awful. F4J have always had my support (even though I'm not an F, and don't need J ) - your story just reinforces my views.

What the f.uck is the government doing?

I saw an episode of Deals on Wheels and the poor guy selling his beloved MG had the CSA after him for £17k.

He did have access to his 12 year old daughter and she spent time with him too and she even said on the show that it wasn't fair on her dad. Poor guy was choked to tears when his MG drove off down the road after he sold it.

It sounded like the diaghter had lived with her dad for a few years at least and that he also looked after at his house some of the time. How the hell could he have had £17k arrears?

That's just crazy.

I noticed from my own breakdown of costs from CSA that 40% of what I pay ISN'T required for my sons upkeep, so I wonder where that goes?

CSA has about 10 000 staff.

Ten thousand. Ten thousand people paid for by the taxpayer (and its victims) to do what the courts did before then.
