I just think the pilot had a Gaulois Bleu on the go and a Gallic shrug ( and some over sized cahones ! ).
Seriously though, I saw these boys operating in the South a few years back and they put the Cl-215's through their paces, they were landing many times a day to fill the tanks and did it all very quickly.

I am not a pilot but I cant imagine that was intentional, and if it was then it was foolish, it was inches from hitting things and an accident, no margin for error.
I dont think pilots are meant to have massive testicles except when they absolutely have to, this put me in mind of the Fairchild Air Force Base crash, the pilot in that instance, called Bud Holland had a reputation for reckless behaviour and "pushing the envelope" and that cost him and his crew their lives.
Not saying that was the case here, might have been other reasons but to my mind pilots shouldnt be show off types, they should be methodical, skilled, knowledgeable, unflappable etc etc but not showoffs, the stakes are too high.
