carbon wheel choices

looking at mavic or zipp carbon wheels around the £1600 mark , anyone on here recommend either / has experience of either ?

I just asked my local bike shop about these plus some Enve ones. They specialise in wheel building and recommended the Mavics.

Not sure why although I am quite heavy, tall and using discs.

They're pretty much all the same. Never noticed much difference between Zipp 404/303/Enve 6.7/HED Jet 9

Half price Reynolds on the canyon website at the moment... £1200 down to £600... Think they were strike 60mms.

What about Shimano C50's - seems half the pro peloton including Sky, Bora, Giant & Lotto use them. Not the most expensive but if good enough for Mr Froome tempted to go for a pair myself

£512 if you want tubular Stikes or Assualt.

Be aware they are all 2013 versions though, so not quite the bargain it seems, not to say they're not decent wheels but something to be aware of.
