Bidding up to £2800 at time of posting.

Looks like it will need a fair bit of work. Rare car though.

Thanks, think he's more than a bit optimistic in his description. That's going to need at least£5k on bodywork, probably a wiring loom and extensive recommissioning. And that's before touching the interior....

You could easily throw £15k at that!

These are worth more in bits at the moment anyway.

There are tuning companies snapping up the engines for installations in pagodas and even 300 SL Gullwing replicas in Germany, so shouldn't be a problem selling.

The restoration costs on the bodywork would outweigh any return, but it's a rare machine and at some future unspecified date may be worth doing properly.

There was a silver W210 E36 AMG on ebay recently with around 90k on it, auction ended at £2850 reserve not met. For someone looking for a cheap way into a 36 AMG engined Merc the W210 would be the way to go I would imagine

It does. There's an almandine car on car and classic for £12.5 which looks good value compared to this one.

Is it my eyes, or does the speedo look rusty? Can't remember having to change a speedo because of rust before....

You weren't the only one to spot that;

I'm amazed it made £6K!

£6k for that, someone must be mad. I'd rather spend double and have this one http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C776663.
