I remember reading a link a while ago when someone asked about the best way of sticking the mats down. Didnt pay much attention becasue my mats were well stuck down............so I foolishly thought.

Can anyone remember where the link is or advise on the best way? Tried velcro but it sticks really well to the floor but not the bottom of the mat.

Help Appreciated

Perhaps a daft comment, but have you put velcro strips on the underside of the mats too?

Do you mean carpets?? If so, Woolies do excellent carpet poppers which work brilliantly. I fitted them to mine about 3 months ago and they hold the carpet really well and I use the car daily.

Yeah S Works, I did put the velco strips on the underside of carpet but they didnt stick properly. Thought about glueing the velcro on but too scared i'd end up gluing the mat to the floor.

Bogie - Need to be able to get them out to clean them so trying to avoid double sided tape or glue.

Mark B - some people refer to them as carpets but in reality they are just mats. I'll try woolies, cheers. Are they cheap? Didnt know woolies had a car section

Right on - well, simple solution then.

Do the two parts in isolation. Glue the female part of the velcro to the floor and leave to dry overnight or however long it takes the glue to set. Then seperately mark up the mats with the position needed for the male velcro part and glue that independently to the mat. Hey presto
