MCAfee Virus scan question....
Discussion
In version 9 there is no easy way. However there is a registry hack, so observing all the usual backup rules, fire up regedit and go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE-> Network Associates->TVD->Shared Components->On Access Scanner->McShield->Configuration
In the right hand pane, change the value of bNetworkScanEnabled from 1 to 0
I have heard mixed reports on this fix, but worth a try.
As an alternative, you can remove all mapped drives and instead put shortcuts to the network shares in network places. A kludge, i know, but it works.
