I'm more than double your age. You really do know fk all right now, get out and shag everything in a skirt. You'll thank me for this advice in years to come biggrin

You're right.

10 years ago I could never see myself married with a child as I was single, didn't think I'd ever find 'the one' and now I have both, along with a great job. My wife and Daughter make my life worth living.

Chin up, you're a long time dead. Get out there and enjoy it!

You are 20. In 5 years time the recent ex will be a distant memory, possibly one of several failed relationships and you will wonder what the hell you worried about.

This.

At 20 I had absolutely no idea what I wanted and was almost virtually incapable of having a serious relationship with anyone.

I think I probably had at least 5 or 6 'serious' girlfriends, or at least I thought they were serious, between the age of 18 and 27, but looking back, the relationships were just a bit of a shambles and I was really quite immature.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Some people get lucky and meet 'the one' in their late teens or early 20's and live happily ever after, but I would suggest they are well in the minority these days.

You have everything to look forward to smile

Get out and see the world. Worse case is that you have seen the world, and haven't had more relationships and are still wiser.

Seriously. So many options. Especially in the long summers.

Sound advice here indeed. Just be wary if you encounter anything like this though -

That's not a skirt. That's a kilt...

Head over to the match thread for all advice on women, relationships, sex and odd kinks. hehe

But seriously, at 20 you dont want a long term relationship. Enjoy your time, money, freedom and opportunities, you'll be grateful you did them while you can.

Your 20 pal chill out enjoy life and wait for the next one. I'm 32 and had 3 serious partners, not sure how long the current one will last tbh and I'm not bothered

Worry not, you are young enough to make a few more mistakes yet before you settle down.

If you feel like that about her, be a gentleman and let her go now.

Life's too short. Go and lease an A-class.

However funny you may find it, this is actually very sound advice and you will be amazed when you look back at how little you knew at 20.
