gearbox woes

my 135M is just 3 years old with only 67,000 miles. 2nd gear sychro is not working at high engine speeds (ie fast take offs) otherwise sychro is fine....garage tell me the only solution is a new gearbox at £3,750.00
anyone else had similar problems?

Synchro modules can be swapped. Look for a BMW transmission rebuilder.

I sent a message to Munich suggesting they might want to help with this problem. Just heard back they will supply new gearbox at no charge. I pay fitting and oil

Great result. But it does make you wonder why the garage [presumably a BMW main dealer] didn't do what you did and contact Munich in the first instance.
