Bike Cops Uk-On TV last night
Discussion
Anyone else see this? I thought the cops came across as a bunch of blithering idiots.
What really annoyed me was they stop a guy on a modified bike-no head lights (during daylight) then keep him waiting a couple of hours whilst they get a vehicle inspector out to inspect and impound the bike.
Inspector numpty rolls up then reviews the legislation which says the bike is perfectly legal if operated in daylight hours. He then says "err it's a stupid piece of legislation but there you are".
Shame it was now pitch black and the bike owner must now get a mate to trailer the bike home.
No harm done then aye fellas?

All Off road Bikers know this one! There is a specific MOT for Vehicles with no lights designed to allow them to run during daylight hours.
Yep, that's exactly the point. If the officers had not been so stubborn they would have had sparrow egg on their face instead of Ostridge.
