Anyone help with insurers?

Previous ferraris and Lamborghini were around the 500pound mark annually.

Can't get less than 2k for 2k miles per year.

Car doesn't exist on most insurance panels databases either 😡

Just been registered too so using plate doesn't work.

Have tried Adrian flux, admiral, a-plan with no luck.

Any others to reccomend?
Thanks!

Did you try A-Plan private clients? McLaren use then as do most of the owners,

www.aplan.co.uk/high-wycombe-private-clients

Also try Manning who a lot of owners are with and will include track use:-

https://manninguk.com/

Several owners on the FB group seem to have success with Admiral (so strange they wont cover you?) and Aviva. Just make sure the car can be repaired by McLaren in the event of an accident.

Others that get mentioned are AIB insurance bureau & Pace Ward.

Good luck.

Yes Admiral.
But, I use a multi car policy and the the premium quoted was over £1K to add to the existing policy with only 6 months left before renewal. So, about £2K per annum.
I took out a new multi car policy with Admiral starting there and then and had my other cars moved over when the existing policy runs out in 6 months.
Got the Mac reduced to £500 ish and got a couple of hundred off the other two cars too. So all in all, it cost me about £300 to insure the 540C. Took over an hour on the phone, but worth it.

I have a multi car policy with Admiral and when I went to put the 12C Spider on I was quoted an additional £1050 (Car bought at same time as renewal). I thought that was abit pricey and did a Go Compare. Admiral came out at £700 for a stand alone policy. When I queried this with their CS dept I was told that this sometimes happens. So I now have 3 cars on a multi car policy with Admiral and the McLaren on a stand alone policy with them.

One thing to consider with the main insurers is the issue of "approved repairers". When taking out the insurance for the Mac I had it confirmed in writing who would be their approved repairer in the event of an accident. I was pleased to find out it was one of McLarens approved ones based in Slough. Hopefully will never need it but a bit of comfort. One thing I didn't check though was windscreen cover. Admiral insist that all windscreen repairs/replacements are carried out by Autoglass. I recently had a potential claim where it ended up that Admiral would foot the bill for the glass but I would pay for the installation at McLaren. Turned out that despite Autoglass asking for pictures and saying it couldn't be repaired Superglass made it like new for £40.
